In what we’re told is the largest OC industrial lease in more than five years (based on square footage), Saddle Creek Corporation inked a deal for 626.3k sf of space at 6565 Knott Ave, south of Artesia Blvd and west of I-5 in Buena Park. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Luke McDaniel and Cameron Driscoll of Voit Real Estate Services’ Anaheim Metro office represented Saddle Creek in the transaction. Founded over 40 years ago, Saddle Creek Corporation is a Lakeland, FL-based firm which has grown to become a nationwide, privately held third-party logistics company that places an emphasis on delivering premium service. The property’s owner, Prudential Insurance Co, was repped by Overton Moore Properties.
Commenting on the transaction, McDaniel pointed out, “Following an in-depth location analysis of the entire LA Basin and Inland Empire, Voit was able to determine that as a result of the client’s high volume of containers, lower drayage costs made the Buena Park location more economical than a lower lease rate and higher drayage fees for a facility in the Inland Empire. In addition, this building is strategically located in close proximity to a large customer of Saddle Creek.”
