A portfolio of nine properties in the Fremont East District of downtown Las Vegas has been put on the market. The portfolio, which consists of a portion of the Estate of Tony Hsieh, a late American internet entrepreneur, Zappos.com CEO, and venture capitalist, is part of the City of Las Vegas Vision 2045 Downtown Las Vegas Masterplan.
The assets include both land and improved property. Some of the assets are leased to operating businesses and other assets are vacant. A number of the assets are ideal for redevelopment as part of Vision 2045.
Chris Lexis, Joe Leavitt, James Griffis, Jonathan Larsen, and Chandler Larson with Avison Young are responsible for marketing the portfolio, which can be sold together, in groups or on an individual basis.
From 2009 until 2020, Tony Hsieh spearheaded a major redevelopment and revitalization project in downtown via DTP Companies (DTP). According to Lexis the goal throughout the portfolio marketing process is to maintain the work that has been done to date by DTP, and most importantly, to move forward Tony Hsiehs vision for spurring development in downtown Las Vegas by striving to identify buyers that align with that vision.
