Irvine Office Properties Finishes One San Diego Office Building and Tops Off Steel on Another

Eastgate Summit, a 65k sf, three-story ‘next gen’ office building in San Diego’s University Towne Centre area, has just opened. The coastal office project, which offers prominent visibility and sweeping vistas from above the 805 and 5 freeways, is a development of Irvine Office Properties.

Situated on one of the most visible hilltops in coastal San Diego in a private campus setting, Eastgate Summit offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean usually reserved for high-rise office towers. The 22k sf, column-free floor plates feature oversized windows for exceptional daylighting. The five per 1,000-square-foot parking ratio is 25% higher than the industry standard to meet a diverse range of business needs.

Eastgate Summit also provides 20% more efficient space utilization based on its two levels of subterranean parking.

The company also announced it has completed erecting steel at Eastgate Terrace, a nearby three-story, 96k sf workplace with unobscured canyon and ocean views. It is also part of the company’s new ‘Next Gen Campus Office,’ featuring 10-foot uninterrupted floor-to-ceiling glass, 32k sf flexible, column-free floor plates and aluminum curtain walls for superior natural light and energy efficiency. It also offers advanced infrastructure for technology.

The 1.5 msf, 24-building Eastgate campus includes indoor and outdoor fitness activities, such as yoga and bike-sharing programs and The Commons, a collection of gracious open-air spaces that features a Wi-Fi enabled outdoor living room, sun decks, al fresco dining, bocce ball court, outdoor volleyball, barbecues, a gourmet coffee cart, an outdoor fireplace, and more for people to work, collaborate or simply reboot.
