Scott Oeser has joined Johnson Capital and will be based out of the company’s Irvine office, where he’ll be responsible for serving the firm’s clients seeking both debt and equity for the acquisition, repositioning, construction and refinancing of all types of income properties.
Prior to joining Johnson Capital, Oeser worked at Auction.com as a Vice President in the firm’s Builder Division. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Investments for Cohen Asset Management Inc, a private real estate investment firm. At Cohen, he was responsible for originating transactions and overseeing the analysis of investments, primarily in the western United States.
Before joining Cohen, Oeser was the Manager of Acquisitions and Developments for Regency Centers Corporation, a public REIT based in Jacksonville, Florida. He also served as Investment Analyst in the finance and asset management departments for American Realty Advisors, a pension fund advisory firm.
Oeser started his career as a high-rise property manager for Shuwa Investments Corporation, a Japanese real estate investment firm. He holds dual undergraduate degrees in Economics and European Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles with a minor in German.
Commenting about the addition of Scott Oeser to the firm, Ryan Chapman, Senior Vice President, stated, “Scott comes to Johnson with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry. As the company continues to see increased volume across the property sectors, Scott will be a tremendous asset to the firm and to our clients."
